BIS Wins Finals!!! Basketball Champions!!!

2014 Basketball Champions !!!

BIS beats EAB in the finals and captures 1^st place!!!

Certainly the toughest and best game of the 2014 season. The Eagles showed a lot of heart and passion as they played four quarters or INTENSE basketball! The scored remained close for the entire game, but in the very end the Eagles prevailed. BIS wins 40 to 35. We are the CHAMPIONS!!! We are #1!!

Congratulations Sohta, Kazune, Goro, Roen, Kwame, Lucca, Wilko, Andrew, Adnan, Linus and Alex for an amazing season! 8 wins, 0 losses, undefeated champions!

• Where:  EDN

• When: Wednesday, December 3rd.

• Time:

• 3:15pm to 4:30pm after school practice at BIS.

• 4:30pm go home, eat light snack

• 5:30pm arrive at EDN.

• 6:00pm Start game.

• 7:00pm end of game.

• 7:15pm go home (please have transportation ready at this time).

If we win the game on Wednesday we'll play in the Finals (Friday at 7:15pm)

If we lose the game on Wednesday we'll play for Third place (Friday at 6:00pm).

• 8:30pm Awards ceremony.

• 8:40pm go home OR go to McDonalds to celebrate a great basketball season.

• Regardless of the final score we will go out to celebrate afterwards. Please join us!

BIS in 1st place in the League!!!

The High School boys captured another great win last Friday, this time beating the EAB Bulls 50 to 37. This was an amazing game in which ALL players worked together and played solid basketball for four intense quarters. Congratulations to Andrew (captain), Adnan, Roen, Kwame, Wilko, Lucca, Goro, Kazune, Alex, and Linus. With this win, the Eagles are currently in first place in the Brasilia Sports League. 

The Junior High team also had a great game against the Bulls. Even though the Eagles lost this game, they played well and did a great job. Way to go Lucca (captain), João, Rafael, Ryan, Haruki, and Linus.

Basketball Recap

In the past two weeks the Eagles have done a great job in Basketball. First the High School boys captured another win at home against the French School in a very exciting game. Congratulations to Andrew, Wilko, Lucca, Goro, Linus, Roen, Kwame, Kazune and Sohta for another great game. 

This past Friday our 13 and under team played their first game of the season against the School of Nations. This was an awesome game and Coach Batista is very proud of this team and their effort on the court. Great job to Rafael (captain), Ryan, Caleb, Saturnino, Elijah, Jiayi, Daniella, Averi and Heloisa!
